Is egg tempera translucent?
I am a pen and ink artist. I also like the look and glow of egg tempera paintings. I guess I would like to know if I could do a mixed medium of the two. I know watercolor is popular but not a big fan.
Mixing the egg with a drop of water and gouache would give a more opaque effect.Using inks,or water colours would give a translucent wash.It is possible to add diluted acrylic mediums to ink to give matte,or gloss effects.
