What happens at an Art Gallery opening night?
I bought some art from a famous artist a few months back and now I am on the invitation list at one of the art gallerys downtown.
What does a champagne opening night at the gallery mean?
it is from 6 – 8pm
Should I wear formal dress or neat casual? Is it okay to turn up alone or do I need a date? I have never been to one before and I don’t want to look like a fool so any help will be most appreciated!
Art oppenings are not formal and you don’t have to bring a date. Champagne will be served with some cheese and crackers. Openings are like open houses when you sell a house, it is a way for galleries to get more people in the door to sell more paintngs, usually an artist is present but sometimes not. If you decide to go , go check out the art work comment talk to the artist or gallery owner if you are interested and split.
