Famous Drawing

Famous Drawing

Is it against copyright laws to sell a portrait of a famous person or something?

I was interested by selling my pictures, but I do not want to break any law, etc. I have not seen any famous people, especially as friends and animals. Anyway, Is it legal for me to sell a portrait of a famous person or living thing / whatever? What if they are dead? How important is it again? I heard that someone famous dies after someone is buying your "name" is not so sure .. Any help is appreciated, Thank you!

If you do the drawing is legal to sell or use as you wish, but with restrictions. For example, if you were to release an album songs written by Bob Dylan and I wanted to put a picture of Dylan on the cover, you must obtain permission to legally Sony Music, as they have the right Dylan's image when used to sell music. But you can sell the image to any person or publish in a book value artistic, so I ran cons when he released an album of songs by Bob Dylan on him with six singers. Dylan had some pictures that I own the rights, because I myself, but I could not use the CD without the permission of Sony.
