What became domesticated horses?

Trying to pinpoint a time that intersect on the horse and human history, it like trying to name the inventor of the wheel. The domesticated horse trades so great in human culture, and casts its shadow so far in time, you can never know much about its origins.

We can say that the confirmation of horse first appeared in human culture is dramatic: the rock art Paleolithic always worrisome 30,000 a. C., the kind that are found in places such as Lascaux, France (although the date for the Paintings Of Lascaux is closer to 16,000 years). But was hunting for wild horses, presumably, for meat.

The following image clear that we have – no pun intended – is evidence of burials car around 2000 BC, but evidence is mounting to set a date a little further into the steppes of Eurasia from 4000 BC.

In the first, the cold environment, open (centered on what is now Ukraine), the Archaeologists have found evidence of the use of bits in the 6000-year old remains of horse teeth. (Further evidence of this time and is also the appearance of horse bones in the graves of man – apparently the cowboys are not the first to insist on being buried with his faithful steeds.)

A little later in the archaeological record – 2500-2000 s. C., Hungary – there are the remains of horses, whose size and the range physical variation between them, demonstrate the likelihood of horse breeding and breaking as they affect the evolution of species. "

At this stage of history, evidence of widespread domestication of horses multiplied: Armor harness, geographic expansion in the horse area (perhaps suggesting the adoption of animal rights), references to horses in ancient documents written Mesopotamia, and less appetizing, layers of concentrated horse dung (which suggests the presence of enclosures, less ancient wild horses, course, observed the same practice group as the use of the bathroom contemporary American women going to dance clubs).

Although much of this evidence arises over a large area in a short space of time, which suggests an image of many but not related to contemporary progress in the domestication of horses instead of a culture of "discovery" of the usefulness of the horse and teaching others of this secret, it is always possible that a particular culture has been, so to speak, before all others.

It could be the culture of the Kazakh Botaya (3500-3000 BC) – dumps contain many bones of horses than any previously known culture, suggesting that they had more success hunting to feed the wild horses, which apparently require a rudimentary transport technology, such as, well, horses to ride! Other hand, according to some archaeologists, who have reached their hunting on foot.

Another candidate may be people who inhabited the steppes north of the coast Danube Delta in Ukraine graves of these people "are beads horses' teeth and polished stone heads, Mallet-shaped carved horse's head. (But as we know and magnificent cave Paintings Of Lascaux, the use of the horse as a symbol of grace, beauty, power, probably before its domestication by a distance in good health.)

Finally, there are people Khvalynsk the Volga region of Russia today, whose graves yield evidence ritual sacrifice of horses (Indian or not?), and 4800-4400 BC. (Some even suggest that Botaya learned what they knew neighbors Khvalynsk.)

Another intriguing scenario: prehistoric horses today were once widespread in North America, but all died around 8000-9000 before AD. The horse is modern descendants of the case before-horse crossed from America to Eurasia before the last glaciation, and since he believes that environmental stressors that also killed American horse felt, to a lesser extent in Eurasia, it is possible that horses who have died there if they had not been domesticated.

A particularly ironic possibility that, especially in light of a Another theory, unrelated to the horse in North America died as a direct result of the emergence of humanity – have been hunting death. Perhaps humanity has been given a hand and another.

stunning Horse Art!!

port .. applause.

I live in Barcelona and all sites are cool! Around the port there are many small bars and restaurants, but are rather expensive. We will go to "El Born", which is opposite the train station in France, there are bars and nightclubs very good and department stores. From here you can walk to the Gothic Quarter and is full of narrow streets with places to visit if you come up continues in "Plaça Catalunya", which is really center of NCBs (see your luggage!) It is better to leave the main street and just walk down the street there are many small bars and clubs. If more information is a free magazine (The Metropolitan) for English is in most hotels and bars in Ireland, information about bars and restaurants and that all events that occur. Enjoy!
